Human hair has always been considered detrimental to the overall
beauty of the person. Hence hair removal has been a normal endeavor
among the human population since ages. However removal of hair from
the body is not a simple process either. You need to take quite a
few precautions while removing your hair. There are also several
factors that needed to be taken care of before and after hair
removal.
Precautions Differ with the Type of Hair
Removal Technique you are using
1.Temporary (Tweezing, Shaving,
Mechanical Epilators): This kind of method is the
most easy and economical form of hair removal. Also this form of
hair removal is free from any side affects on the skin as with the
case of other forms of hair removal. Some of the common tips that
needed to be considered in order to make for a harmless and painless
experience include:
1. Shave with a sharp blade
2. Shave after a shower when the hair is soft
3. Avoid irritants like menthol, peppermint and different kind of
citrus acids on the skin.
However the problem is the fact that hair tends to grow back very
fast after being removed because it has not been totally uprooted
just a part of it removed which grows back with time.
2. Less Hair Eventually (Waxing):
This is one of the most common forms of hair removal as practiced by
people nowadays specially women. In this process a cream which is
actually heated wax is applied over the body and that wax is rubbed
off after a particular interval of time and as a result along with
the wax the hair goes off too. Some of the things that needed to be
considered during waxing include
• Unlike shaving never shower before a waxing session. Hair absorbs
the water making it soft and less likely to adhere well to the wax.
This is why tough hair is easier to pull off.
• Make sure you sample test a small area of skin first to make sure
there is no acute sensitivity or allergic reaction to hair removal
by the process of waxing.
• Hair should be at least 1/8 inch long before the waxing process is
initiated
• wash the skin thoroughly and dry it well an hour before in order
to remove any lotions or oils which may prevent the wax from
adhering closely to the skin.
• Heat the wax to exact recommended temperatures so as not to
overheat and thus burn the skin when applying. If possible test it
on a small area of the skin before.
But sometimes the problem is that when the hair grows it sometimes
becomes very course and causes an itch feeling on the skin.
