People cut there hair for a wide variety of reasons. They do it for aesthetics, convenience, and self esteem, cultural, religious, or medical reasons. Hair is one of the non sensory parts of the human body and hence its removal does not cause any medical complications inside the human body. However a certain amount of caution is required in order to prevent irritation and pain during the endeavor.

 

Some of the Precautions that needed to be taken care off during hair removal are
1. If you are using a blade to remove the hair in your body always make it a point to use a new one. Discard all blades once they are four to five shaves old as blades tend to decrease in sharpness which might cause pain while shaving.
2. Always plan your shave after a bath. This is because the hair tends to be the softest just after a bath and hence it is easy to remove it.
3. Always take care that you do not use any major skin irritants like alcohol, pepper spray and citrus acids
 

4. If you are using Wax for Hair Removal then the following Precautions need to be taken
• Unlike shaving never shower before a waxing session. Hair absorbs the water making it soft and less likely to adhere well to the wax. This is why tough hair is easier to pull off.
• Make sure you sample test a small area of skin first to make sure there is no acute sensitivity or allergic reaction to hair removal by the process of waxing.
• Hair should be at least 1/8 inch long before the waxing process is initiated
• Wash the skin thoroughly and dry it well an hour before in order to remove any lotions or oils which may prevent the wax from adhering closely to the skin.
• Heat the wax to exact recommended temperatures so as not to overheat and thus burn the skin when applying. If possible test it on a small area of the skin before.


5. Laser therapy is the method used if the person wants a permanent removal of hair. Although the affect is lasting but the method is quite painful and has a variety of side affects to it. Although doctors do not recommend it but a large number of people take to the practice as it’s the easy solution. If you have decided on using laser therapy make sure that the machine is adapted to your type of skin otherwise you might end up with pigmentation and burned skin in the areas of skin exposed to laser beams.
