Removal Caution
presented in simple
easy to understand language
People cut there hair for a wide variety of reasons. They do it for
aesthetics, convenience, and self esteem, cultural, religious, or
medical reasons. Whatever be the reason hair removal is one of the
most common phenomenon's among the human population. Hair is one of
the non sensory parts of the human body and hence its removal does
not cause any medical complications inside the human body. However a
certain amount of caution is required in order to prevent irritation
and pain during the endeavor.
Some of the Precautions that needed to
be taken care off during hair removal are
1. If you are using a blade to remove the hair in your body always
make it a point to use a new one. Discard all blades once they are
four to five shaves old as blades tend to decrease in sharpness
which might cause pain while shaving.
2. Always plan your shave after a bath. This is because the hair
tends to be the softest just after a bath and hence it is easy to
remove it.
3. Always take care that you do not use any major skin irritants
like alcohol, pepper spray and citrus acids
4. If you are using Wax for Hair Removal
then the following Precautions need to be taken
• Unlike shaving never shower before a waxing session. Hair absorbs
the water making it soft and less likely to adhere well to the wax.
This is why tough hair is easier to pull off.
• Make sure you sample test a small area of skin first to make sure
there is no acute sensitivity or allergic reaction to hair removal
by the process of waxing.
• Hair should be at least 1/8 inch long before the waxing process is
initiated
• Wash the skin thoroughly and dry it well an hour before in order
to remove any lotions or oils which may prevent the wax from
adhering closely to the skin.
• Heat the wax to exact recommended temperatures so as not to
overheat and thus burn the skin when applying. If possible test it
on a small area of the skin before.
5. Laser therapy is the method used if the person wants a permanent
removal of hair. Although the affect is lasting but the method is
quite painful and has a variety of side affects to it. Although
doctors do not recommend it but a large number of people take to the
practice as it’s the easy solution. If you have decided on using
laser therapy make sure that the machine is adapted to your type of
skin otherwise you might end up with pigmentation and burned skin in
the areas of skin exposed to laser beams.
